New inspiration

It has been a very long time since I've blogged, due to a radical change of scenery and life. I have now settled in to the busy London schedule and have even found time to make some new cabochon's.
Ready to be made into necklaces.
Like this one of Marilyn Monroe: Iconic

"Green Envy"

Necklace made with metal wire, gold plated metal beads, glass beads,
Swarovski crystals which gives clarity of the mind, wisdom and healing. Then I have green Tourmaline which brings good luck, motivation and purpose. It is a powerful protective stone that is believed to have the ability to deflect negative energies and thoughts.
At last I have the yellow Citrine gem stone.
Citrine is the stone of success. It is said to bring happiness, joy and optimism into your life. It dispels and transforms negative energy. Citrine energizes and invigorates, promotes warmth, comfort and energy.
Wear it with a simple white shirt tucked into some jeans.

Jewellery lessons with a real bonafide jeweller

I've had a great week on my little Paradise Island.
Karista Krishna came down and she is an amazing jeweller from Bali. She's featured in shops there and the latest one on the new Kuta Walk.
I got to hang out with her and she taught me some new tricks,
and in the process made me a wonderful bracelet.

Her work-board is a bit more organised than mine, and the gemstones she uses are amazing.

The end result: A stunning bracelet which I will cherish forever.

"Summer Lovers"

It's summer.
The temperatures are soaring.
Floaty dresses, bare legs and flip flops are everywhere.

This necklace is made with wooden beads, hand made glass beads, Swarovski crystals, Tibetan silver charms and cultivated pearls from Bali and would go great with a floaty dress or jeans and cream optional!

"In the Garden"

On of my favourite songs is called "In the Garden" by Van Morrison.
So I named this necklace after that song. It's made with wooden beads, hand made porcelain flower beads, porcelain beads, Swarovski crystals, pearls and Tibetan silver charms.
I have two fairies in this necklace because no garden is complete without the fairies :-)

 tibetan "silver beads",
and the lovely Rudraksha beads.

Coral and Pearls

It's funny how I always seem to have a "theme song" for my jewellery.
This bracelet I've named after Prince's "Diamonds and Pearls",
but obviously no diamonds on this piece so I re-named it coral and pearls.

Maria Mary

I went to Spain last November way up in the mountains and got so inspired by their necklaces/crucifix's that I decided to make something similar.

Made with Rudraksha beads, wooden beads, tibetan silver beads and Swarovski crystals I think this one will have to be one of the ones that I cannot sell simply because I like it too much

and will go up on the wall next to the other ones that is too hard for me to get rid of.

"The saucy little minx" and "Shamballa On"

I've been quite busy lately, doing things totally unrelated to jewellery making: surfing.
It gives me inspiration so now I am back in my little island "studio" and here is today's offering:
"The saucy little minx", made with cultivated pearls and bronze charms.

"Shamballa On"
Ladder bracelet with a Swarovski Shamballa bead, double up.

I've also sold three of my necklaces, hurray-hurray!

"I'm not bossy, I just have better ideas than you"

Continuing on with the pin-up theme:

Handmade glass beads, cultivated pearls, glass pearls, swarovski crystals

and yes, I did manage to get out for a surf today and managed to get sunburnt.
